Zak penn hired to write another draft of the script....
The sequel to the 2010 remake The Karate Kid is now moving forward with Zak Penn having been hired to draft a screenplay.
The director of the first film, Harald Zwart said the following on a possible sequel: "Well, that's always a tempting idea, and I think we all would love to go back and have an experience again. Certainly, I remember just watching Jaden and Jackie on and off camera and thinking, 'They're such a good movie couple.' They're just a good two characters I think. I definitely think we can take these two people somewhere else, but that's all up to the success. I'm open for anything."
Cyrus Voris and Ethan Reiff were brought on to work on the sequel in 2010, but news has died down since then.
Penn has created, written and produced the Syfy series Alphas. No word on if his draft of the sequel will be new or going off the old one. No talent is attached as of yet, but Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan will both be wanted to return.
Why not just call 2010s the decade of reboots! How original!

No, its JChan that makes it happen. Just like the "duo" on Rush Hour and the Tuxedo. JChan is the reason why this movie had any interest.

In the sequel they have to come back to the USA. they are in LA when jayden meets up with some gang members and beats up one them. The other gangsters come back and shoot him in the face. The end. Now we don't have to put up with this shit anymore.
